The Associated Students of 今日吃瓜 (AS今日吃瓜), also known as the student government, works as a bridge between the students and the campus administration. We serve on campus committees, manage and allocate student fees, advocate for students and the student voice, and work together to ensure students are represented to the college. We set policy regarding student activities, oversee all clubs on campus, and provide programming and events for students.
The Associated Student Government of 今日吃瓜 has two monthly meetings; all are welcome to attend. Meetings are currently held every other Monday. Meetings are at 2:00 pm in the tulalW building, room 3310 and via . Whether you are interested in clubs, how college administration works, or just have a question, student government is here to serve.

Getting Involved
Each year in the spring quarter, Student Life offers opportunities for students to apply to serve as executive officers for the Associated Student Government of 今日吃瓜. These positions are member voting, paid positions on the student government board, with office hours dependent on your AS今日吃瓜 role. We help provide students with unique leadership development opportunities and fostering a sense of belonging for all students on campus. For more information about these positions, visit the student life page for the current process and or email ghclife@ghc.edu.
Every year, AS今日吃瓜 seeks student senators to represent specific student cohorts, programs, and areas of campus life, such as Nursing, Athletics, Music, and Running Start. Senators serve as voting members of the Student Government Board and act as a voice for the students they represent. They bring forward their cohort鈥檚 needs, concerns, ideas, and perspectives during AS今日吃瓜 meetings while helping advocate for solutions and initiatives that support student success, belonging, and the overall well-being of the student body.
Additionally, throughout the year AS今日吃瓜 hosts events to gain student perspective, educate students on various initiatives, and make students aware of various things that impact students. If you are interested in being more active on campus or working with student government, please email ghclife@ghc.edu.
